Hey all,

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm in Bristol, going to be picking up my '01 Octavia vRS this weekend. Cant wait...

There's a few little tweaks I've been eyeing up on these forums, might have to wait a little while though, insurance is a little bit steep for an 18 year old

Anyways, I'll update this post after the weekend when i've got it.

Yeah insurance wasn't easy to sort out, to say the least... :p

Few - hopefully little - things I'll need to sort out on it, pretty sure this was refected in the price I paid for it though

Got through a 240 mile drive back up to Bristol, can't be too bad.

Hi guys, I'm at desperation stage here. Changed bearings on the car. Ball joints also changed. The threads on my TREs were goosed from getting the busy off, so I bought new ones to replace them. My issue is the jam nuts. I have watched/read pretty much everything that's out there, yet these things won't budge. Tried heat, spray etc. Is it definitely clockwise for both to loosen them off you are looking at the hub from the outside of the wheel arch? Lefty loosey when looking from the insid

Hi new to the site I have just purchased a 2008 superb Laurin and klement edition in dark blue with cream leather 118000 with original wheels athou the wheels need full refurb i think they are diamond cut but maybe someone could correct me could anyone tell me how many were produced in mk1s and are they a rare car I would have preferred the 1.9 as apose to the 2.0 litre but it drives just a good and coud not find this edition in a 1.9 but I don't think they did a laurin klement in a 1.9 tdi but

Generally, i dont like to be one of those people to open up another topic that has been exhausted time and time again, but after extensive research, i really am struggling to find a forum response that matches fully with my issue.
