Scout foldiing door mirrors

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I'm thinking of swapping the vRS for a 1.8 Scout, does anyone have the definitive answer to whether they now come with folding door mirrors? Some recently delivered have had them without speccing then whilst others have not, dealers don't seem to know one way or the other!

Cheers

The brochure says that you can't, it also says that you can with the Elegance, but I was told that that option has since been discontinued on the Elegance model!

The only way I think to find out is send an information request to SUK.

Hi stokey

if its any help we took delivery of out elegance 2 months ago and it does have folding mirrors but the salesman was adamant that they dont.......until I demonstrated it. Turns out his older company octy did too.

What do you do to make them fold

Either:

1: Press & hold the lock button on the key plip.

2: Turn the mirror adjustment knob on the drivers door.

You'll know if you've got it if there's 5 positions L,O,R, Demist, Fold.

or if they're not electric give them a push emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Mine appeared with them ( not that i'm complaining :giggle:)

I didn't spec them and the dealer didn't have a clue either way

Cheers

Thanks for posting that. I'd missed that step in the manual. It's much easier than using the mirror switch.

Yes, mine have this feature, I can also make a noise not unlike an electric motor while I am doing it.
