I have a 1996 Felicia and a 1993 Favorit Estate

This year due to several head gasket failures I replaced the engine in the 1996 Felicia with one from a 2000 Felicia.

It took a little while as it is the first one I have done.

However at the time I found that the felicia engine/gearbox looked remarkably similar to the one from the Favorit

However the Felicia has a heck of a lot more acceleration than the Favorit!

So I am thinking that this year I am going to replace the engine and gearbox in the Favorit with one from a Felicia.

I imagine that this is not straightforward, has anyone done this? What will I need to take into account before I start?
