KW worth the money or are they alternatives just as good?

Featured Replies

I'm looking at coilovers to run on my Fabia Vrs. But debating whether its worth the money for KW or if they is competition just as good?

Weitec is KW :)

if you have the cash buy kw,i've run over 20 different sets of coilovers on a veriety of cars over the years and trust me,nothing comes close

The KW's are one of the best coilover kits available on the market but as mentioned the Weitec's are made by KW and nearly indentical except for the KW's being stainless steel bodies and the Weitec's being galvanized.

Sweet, if that's the difference between 'em then I'll get KW when I do my Fabia as I had Weitec on my Escort and loved 'em :)

I ordered my Weitecs from DPM Performance as i've been told that for the price they are great.

My local 'indy' is trying to convince me to get Koni coilovers rather than KW's/Weitec, he reckons the Koni's are more comfortable than the KW, ride comfort is an important consideration for me. Has anyone any experience of the Koni's compared to KW/Weitec??

I though Koni were a harder ride?

I'd buy KW's but will probably end up getting Weitecs...

Weitec is KW :)

yeah, just like as Skoda is Audi... :p

KW over Koni everytime!

Absolutely swear by KW.

Got £1200 worth on my mk2 racer and a V1 Inox Kit on my fabia... Had a weitec before that on my old Lupo...

So, would you notice any difference at all between KW V1 and Weitec GT's on the car other than the KW's will outlast the Weitecs?

The internals are slightly better on the KW's but on everyday use I'd don't think you'd really notice the difference.

I'm running FK Sport Edition Plus coilovers, which I'm really happy with. Top adjustable too!! Only thing is they are made to order so had to wait for ages for delivery!!

Are Kw V2's top mount adjustable on the front and back? Thanks for everyones replies. Very much appreciated.

From what i can remember the front will be, but it'll be difficult to get to the adjuster at the rear without dropping the damper out first..

I really did like my KW's when I had them but their Customer Service isn't that good should you need them.

It's best to try speak to germany directlly when it comes to stuff like that..

We try to fill in the gap though, having supplied, raced with and setup road to full race cars we can deal with most enquiries/problems..
