Current Thinking on BT Coding

Featured Replies

OK, I need a little help please for my Dec 09 FL vRS (Petrol non DSG).

There is a massive amount of info on here regarding the correct coding values for various things, however, but scanning through the many posts on Bluetooth, there seems to be quite a bit of conflict for the latest versions on the FL Octavia.

I fitted this weekend a Version C VAG Bluetooth module to a Bolero HU. All of the functions work as expected on the HU (using a BlackBerry 8900 Curve), the phone book has downloaded etc. but I see nothing in the Maxidot display.

Can anyone give me the pointers for the following:

  • The coding details for the Maxidot
  • The Coding I will need to make a Columbus fully functional (with Voice activation - The Columbus arrives this week)
  • Anything else I need to do

Thanks again in advance

Are you using a genuine RT VCDS?

There was an omission in the label file on one of the versions however after it being pointed out Sebastian updated the website and I guess he'll have done the recent version of the SW.

I think this may be what you are looking for -

00?0xxx: Communication Type

  • 0 = Display-Data-Protocol (DDP)
  • 1 = Operating and Display Protocol (BAP)

Perfect, Thanks Stu,

It all works now.
