Rear view camera

Featured Replies

Are they referring to the fact that the Bolero screen shows an image created by the rear parking sensors so you can visualise the distance from an object when reversing?

Does the camera come with park assist?

Nope.

If it genuinely means a reversing camera then I'd guess its an option overseas as you cant specify it fromt he factory over here. :(

Probably. The Elegance I test drove had that feature.

Anyone know if the Columbus does it too?

Columbus also.

Here's a couple of pictures of the Columbus display with front and rear sensors. It goes orange when you're within 6-8 inches (15-20cm for those who insist on metricity) of an object. Different bleep tones front and back and as you get closer.

A friend has rear sensors on his Scirocco (what a wonderful looking motor - nearly as good as my Yeti... ;) ). His display shows just the back end of the car with it shown vertical rather than horizontal which I presume how the Yeti is displayed when with the standard rear sensors only.

Reversing the Yeti seems (so far!) to be very easy with the door and interior mirrors and the sensors.

I think my neighbours think I've really lost the plot after taking these pictures this evening.... :(

Thanks for the replies and photos, that must be what they were referring to.

So the list of options that I want but cannot have, gets bigger... rear camera (VW does it, why not Skoda?), wood effect trim (Europe but not UK), heated windscreen (available on the Superb), DSG on the 1.8Tsi :giggle: You'd think after having been bashed about in a Fabia for the last few years I'd be a lot less fussy! :D

It is a pity that some of the specifications that are available in Europe, the GB importers decided that we did not need or want them. Mind you, the heated windscreen is most certainly something that I would never choose! I find them very disturbing at night, if not dangerous. The rear view camera would be handy but only if it was available either all of the time like a rear view mirror.
