heavy power steering sensor

girlfriend is complaining about the power steering being heave when she is parking her polo, as i have read in the the searches it might be the steering angle sensor,

she is fine most of the time only when the engine revs are down which makes me think there is another problem some where else, a rev seems to help the steering so thinkin bad connection

please tell me what i should do or look for?
