Hi, am new to the site and not sure if i have put this in the right place. My octavia has decide to put its brake lights on in the night, when i go to bed they're off and when i get up they are on. Has anyone got any ideas why?, it's not happening every night.

The brake lights work without the ignition on as a safety feature. The switches are notorious for going wrong and this likely to be the problem. What sort of Octavia is it?

Either a faulty switch, or a leak causing the top brake light to activate.

Is it all or only the top coming on? A search should yield solutions either way.
