4x HP Server screws wanted!

Featured Replies

I'm looking for 4x drive mounting screws for a HP Proliant server, but I'm sure they're used in some HP desktops also.

As per the photos, but UNC threaded (for HD's) not M3 (Optical drives etc).

All the spare ones supplied with the server are the M3 version....

I can have a look when I'm back at work. We have loads of HP stuff, so fingers crossed.

try this seller on ebay.

try this seller on ebay.

Thanks, but that's all generic bits, and personally I'd say that stuff is both expensive and not "hard to find"!

Woops: Having said that I hope that's not your eBay shop!

don't worry it's not my shop. They did have some odd size screws I needed a while back for a dell drive caddy that I couldn't find easily near me.

Hope you're not in a hurry, work is closed due to snow...

They're probably std M4 screws - look like self tappers in the pic.

As I said "As per the photos, but UNC threaded (for HD's) not M3 (Optical drives etc)."

To Clarify -

The photos shows the M3 version (for optical drives, tape dape drives and most other 5.25" devices) I need the UNC version of these - as used in 3.5" hard disks.

Most HP units are tool-less disassembly, therefore screws that fit 3.5" & 5.25" devices have the collar and are held in place by a clip arrangement. Hence the need for the special screws...
