Bit of a different type of review but very good write up for the Yeti!

But... did you pick up on the punctures bit:

"We had punctures, but we only had road tyres on it. If we'd had gravel tyres, we would never have had a problem."

.. so don't thrash your Yeti on gravel on road tyres!!

I have thrashed about with Forest stage rally tyres on a Rover 130 SDi. It is simply quite amazing how capable a two wheel drive vehicle can be made to be with such tyres. They are incredibly tough, they need to be. They seem impervious to punctures even after scorching around on farm land and back lanes. Can be exceptionally cheap depending on brand and construction. Not quite enough choice on sizes. If I could find a set suitable fr the Yeti, I would purchase them. Absolutely outstanding in the snow, unbelievable! Drives like on rails, even at speed.
