factory bluetooth in RS FL Manual

Featured Replies

Got my FL Octavia RS delivered a few days ago. The Irish models of RS come with factory fitted bluetooth. My Nokia E51 recognises the BT in Skoda and connects fine. Making and receiving calls is also flawless with the switch for operating the maxi-dot or via the phone menu on the Bolero. However, for some reason my contacts are not getting transferred from my phone onto the in-car BT system. I have activated Remote SIM mode but this has not helped. I am almost sure I am doing something wrong but what?

I will take pics of my new car and post them here as soon as I manage to give it a proper wash. It's -8 out there.

Can you please clear a couple of points up for me.

1. You have a VRS manual with no steering wheel buttons.

2. You have a factory Bluetooth kit with no additional buttons installed on the dash or steering wheel.

3. The phone is controlled 100% from the Bolero screen and / or buttons.

Thanks.

and a picture of the Bolero screen with the phone menu would be great.

Thanks. Just to confirm you do have a manual trans not a DSG don't you.

I love the temp showing -2.5C and the AC controls showing no heated seats. Today my temp was showing +37C and heated seats are standard in Australia. I have no idea who it is that decides on specs for various countries but they aren't very good at their job imo.

Could not afford heated seats. It's a manual transmition OK. Have a look at the pedals.

Anyone know why my phone book from Nokia E51 does not load into the Octavia RS...

Just checking if anyone knows the answer to the above question.

Have tried connecting a few other even older phones than my Nokia E51 to Bolero and all of them have downloaded their contact list to the Bolero. E51 fails to do this. Any idea?

I think its an applet that has to be downloaded into the phone from the Nokia website. I had to do this with a E65 and N78 for it to transfer its contacts into a Parrott. Go onto Nokia Ireland and look for Nokia 810 contacts application, this should solve your problem. Is bluetooth standard for us paddy's ??

Came as standard for my RS and other than the failure to download contact list, works flawlessly.

Will check what you suggested and let you know.

Show off with bluetooth on a manual fl vrs. However can't wait for my heated seats!!! - When it finally arrives:(

Obviously you have maxidot, how does the bluetooth work/nterface of the stalk??

Works great. It's the OK button just at thew bottom of the stalk that "executes" the operations but I find the bolero is better in doing this.

As I said, it works great
