Washers Still Freezing

Featured Replies

Good luck finding screenwash anywhere up here atm - everywhere's sold out!!!

And we really need it as our main roads are back to regular tarmac, albeit really wet and covered in salt and grit. I've had to clean the headlamps for the last couple days just so I can see where am I going. That gives an idea of how much dirt is coming off the roads right now. Add in the really low winter sun and you're going through screenwash like no one's business.

Exactly why I do not want to spend more than I need to on it. Using neat fluid and or meths is a smelly and sticky business which I try to avoid. My wiper blades looked like some fluorescent ice lolly this morning after my commute. Fluid did not actually freeze on the screen though.:dull:

I filled up with 5 litres of Halfords £4.99 screenwash, straight out the bottle neat two days ago.

I've yet to see the stuff squirt back out the washers, even after a long drive its not thawed things out. I'm beginning to wonder if something has disconnected itself down there (like the Fabia was famous for), If its nice and warm tomorrow (above -5C) I'll for for a look!

i remember my mate mixing two screen washes together and geting a lather /foam volcno on his hand very funny!!

i just wana know is there anywas of making the juts a bit more powerful orrr redirecting them because the 2 front ones are ok but theyd be better if they were more powerful lol. (btw the rear one on the fbia is rubish it should squirt down not up haha) :giggle:
