My Dad found a diesel leak on his Fabia TD 52 plate.

He took it to Skoda who told him the fuel pump is made up of 2 machines peices that are just put together without seals, gasket etc. They want almost £300 for a new one..

Does anyone know if the pump can be recon'd or rebuilt or if there are any other ways to fix the leak.

Failing that anyone got a fuel pump for the car.

Tandem pump leaks aren't unheard of, one type were recalled many years ago.

If its leaking it's going to need a new one.
