Cooling Fan

Featured Replies

When I turn off my engine my cooling fan comes on and does't seem to go off again, until it drained my battery, took the car to the dealers and they said, I need a new fan control unit costing £360.....erm.

Is there a way I can deactivate the fan. its an 2.0 TD Octavia, I noticed when facing the car under the bonet, to the right hand side there is a cable attached to a plug that seems to be connected to the fan. not sure if this is the correct thing to do any Ideas.
