Finally an official ESP answer from Skoda

Featured Replies

After weeks of various calls and emails I received an answer to my ESP question:

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the park assit option on your vehicle. I am pleased to confirm that the ESP included with the Park Assist Option is the same as the ESP available as a Factory FittedOption. If there is anything I may be able assist you with please contact me on the telephone number provided.. Lucky, because I ordered the1.2SE Yeti with Park Assist in December! I was toying with the idea of front parking sensors and definately wanted ESP. Park Assist came with both of these and was actually cheaper. With all the acronyms on the brochure it was difficult to work out what bits you actually got in with the ESP. Crossed fingers and hoped dealer was right in the end (was going to get him to put it in writing though :giggle: )

Thanks for the update Charlie,

good news you have this confirmed. Bit of a bargain then considering those opting for Park Assist on the 4x4 are paying the same price. :S

...those with the Elegance spec already get ESP so Park Assist is an expensive option for them. Does seem a bit odd but someone told me it was all to do with electrics - a lot of the foundation to this stuff is already there it's ready a question of connecting it all up.

The brochure was very confusing, thank you for getting the information sorted. It did look as though if one purchased the self park that additional ESP functions would be available.
