Rear wiper not working

Featured Replies

rear wiper not working tried checking fuse, but fuse diagram did not seem to coincide with fuse panel , any advise would be gratefully received

What version of the Fabia is it? Trim level etc 1,2 or 3? The fuse panel varies I think according to trim!

I have a 2007 3 1.9 tdi cheers

Can you tell me...if when you switch on the front wipers with the engine running, then select reverse gear, does the rear wiper still remain inactive?

Took motor to local stealer to sort rear wiper, service guy said probably the fuse said , I will check fuse, had a look at fuse plan, then turned it upside down as the plan was for a left hand drive, still bemused " best you have a coffee I need to get a fitter to check this out" it was sorted it and a fuse fitted at no charge, I will never win any prizes as a mechanic but I would expect to look at a fuse plan and be able to change a fuse ,is it me and

the service guy thick or do i need another fuse plan for a fabia 2/3 1.9tdi

Sounds like a bit of both! Need a new fuse plan BUT ....Just a little bit dense, not to be able to reverse the fuse display mentally! LOL!

Seriousely though, it does annoy me that certain , usually German manufacturers, don't really want to re-arrange stuff from their lefties to us righties!

The first time I really noticed this was with a Mercedes 190E, they fit the drivers armrest on the wrong seat, making it more of a fiddle to use this, the handbrake and the gear selector standad/economy switch...... I used to get my partner to flick the switch sometimes, for ease!!!! I think they are STILL trying to get us back for two world wars and one world cup!

Anyone in their right mind knows that you should sit on the right and drive on the left, anyway!
