I am looking at changing my key as it looking a bit worn and the silver keyring hoop is falling off. If I buy on of the ebay jobs can i just change over the internal and away i go?

If it's a remote flip one yeah..

You can swap the immo chip from inside the key, swap the key blades over and then code the remote to your car..

Just be careful removing the transponder, some are glued in place, if you crack it then it's:

SKC retrieval,

new transponder and

coding with VCDS time!

I just swapped the remote and coded that with the car.

I just noticed I ordered the 3 button key, not the 2 button like i have. Will this be an issue. I dont used the key buttons as the alarm fob open the car.

Mines a tgree button works jsut the same, obviously no boot popper though.
