Squeaky suspension and squeaks at bite point

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can shed any light on this.

I have an 05 VRS with 70,000 on ther clock!! Not a thing wrong until just before xmas, when turbo failed due to a hole in the intercooler! So new turbo and new intercooler for xmas!

Over last week, there has been an intermittent squeak from what the front when going over speed bumps - worse on the back end of the bump. And today the squeak over bumps has gone but has been replaced by a very similar - if not the same - squeak when engaging the clutch in first. The squeak can also occur (today) on initial acceleration from low revs in any gear.

Any ideas?

Oh and Ps not a high pitch squeak - more like a high pitched grind

High pitch grind is more like the noise of a spring? Is there a spring in the flywheel etc? Not very mechanically minded as you probably guessed.

Suspension bush mate. Mine was doin this creak especially when giving it some from low gears, and shift in the body weight. When you go over speed bumps does it feel loose somewhat? If so just the suspension arm bush mate.
