hello, i've joined this forum with an ulterior motive as i'm already after pickin your brains regarding my skoda fabia rally car.

i'll put the question on in the hopefully correct place in the forum and await your words of wit and wisdom....

sorry back here again,i must be not doing something correctly as i don't seem to be able to post on the technical forum (doh) !

anyhoo, i have a year 2000 fabia 1.4 rallycar and i have found that there is a huge gap between 2nd gear and third which drops the engine off its power/cam range,

i am limited by FiA regulations that the gearbox must have the same casing as original, so i was hoping that someone can suggest another box that would be the same but with different tighter ratios.

BUT the casing MUST be the same??? does another model use this casing i.e. a 1.2 or even a polo gt......

Hello and welcome form another Cumbrian member. Think technical is a benefit of freedom membership IIRC. As this section is for hello's you might not get the answer you need. Try posting in the Fabia 1, or performance sections for better chance of results. Hope you get the info you need and best of luck in the rallying.
