1.9Tdi Combi for sale...... Maybe

Featured Replies

As the title says. We've been off and on about getting a new Scout. We have the use of another car so could sell ours privately.

Are the 1.9 Estates in demand ?

Here's the spec :

57 Plate Elegance in Flamenco Red Metallic

Maxidot

Curtain Airbags

Coming Home

Xenons

Heated Seats

Sill Kick Plates

Stainless Exhaust Trim

It's done 15000 miles and is mint.

Glasses says 10k so I would put it up for £9800

Anyone else sold a 1.9 recently privately or traded in ?

Did the Dealers give you a decent price ?

Cheers !

Ah I see. I'm not trying to sell the car here. I'm after advice ....... Did you read all the post ?

Yes, pretty much any dealer would want to have that car on the forecourt. Order your Scout before the end of the month to get the best deal as the VAT free offer is ending soon.

PM me if you want a realistic part exchange price against a factory order Scout.

Thanks very much James. Thats pretty much what I wanted to hear. A trade would certaintly be more convenient for us. I'll drop you a line when I get home !

There are very few, if any at all, of these up for private sale - they all end up on dealers forecourts.

Look on autotrader:

For private sale...

Octavia Estates (all): 14

Diesel (all 1.9TDI): 9

Upto 3 years old: 2

Best match, there is one 2007 (07) 1.9TDI Elegance Estate, and it's done 129,000 miles so I'd say your car would be unique on autotrader.

When I was looking to buy recently, there were just no 2-3 year old cars that hadn't done ~100K miles (all ex-lease cars I guess). For me it made more sense to buy new (under scrappage scheme).

If you don't get a good trade in value for it, then whilst it's still got some warranty left on it, it's probably just as good a buy privately as from a dealer.
