Just taken delivery of my new Octavia vRS (black). The spec of the car is excellent for the price. Just seen the Top Gear survey which makes me feel even better about spending the cash

Just got to wait another 900 miles before the engine is broken in :(

How long did it take to arrive from point of order to delivery? It's just that mines currently on order and they said it would be 6-8 weeks. Is that realistic do you think?

I bought from Motorpoint. (Wasn't sure about this but seems to have worked out) Old cars MOT was running out and they had one in stock so didn't have to wait. Looks to be UK spec, 2 Yrs Skoda manufacturers warranty, 17" alloys, Climate + Parking Sensors.

That's interesting. I was looking at getting one from Motorpoint as well, even had one reserved at one point but in the end I was put off by the fact it was a 2 year warranty instead of 3 years and it may not have been UK spec. So mine has been ordered through Browns Skoda in High Wycombe.

Would be interesting to know what the price was, as I paid 14k on the nose for car plus metallic paint, cruise and parking sensors (which are all optional/extra cost extras). Climate and 17" alloys is standard.

Got mine from Browns as well - they were pretty good as far as the delivery date was concerned...even managed to hurry it along a bit so that I could drive it for a week before a jolly jaunt to the Falklands.
