I've had it with Nightbreakers!

Featured Replies

Hi,

I returned a failed nightbreaker to Osram ages ago after complaining of early failure by email and never heard anything from them, so since then have run some cheapies from Aldi, and have not had a failure and there not half bad either !

ive just had a Philips Xtreme bulb go after about 11-12 months

Had my 2006 Octy 2 since new and have never replaced any bulb in it yet (i knew i shouldn,t have said that)

The headlights on the MK2 are so much brighter and better than the candles on my MK1 then i would have got some better bulbs, but with the MK2 i don,t see any reason to upgrade the bulbs at all.

thought I'd update this post.

My 2nd night breaker bulb blew out today, so I guess it was fitted by myself sometime in October or even November. So I'm guessing the first 'bulb' lasted 2months, and the 2nd 'bulb' lasted a mere 3months.

I've now replaced them with my very old Osram 50%+ which I pinched from my R32.

I've fitted the R32 with the Phillips Extreme power, and they seem much much brighter than the Osram 50%+.

Fingers crossed, lets see how long these badboys last

do R32`s not have xenons?

mk4 Golf R32, the 'High' beams are regular Halogen H7 bulbs mate

ah I see!
