Windscreen replacement for Roomster Scout

Featured Replies

Took car in today for 2nd service and garage phoned after about an hour to say that they had checked the data and Skoda UK are reccomending the the windscreen should be replaced. Anyone else had this?

Ironic really as 5 months ago I had a water leak into the footwell and the dealer removed the screen and resealed it!

Update 21/01/10. Collected car today with new windscreen and was told that Skoda wanted it changed because of water leaks! Hope the new one doesn't leak..........................

Interesting, not heard anything from my local stealer.

I'll give them a bell tomorrow me thinks

Hope you get better luck than I had recently.

Got a chip in the windscreen that rapidly developed into a crack extending almost right across the screen. OK, these things happen thinks I. Went to Autoglass and let "Gavin" do his stuff with a new screen.

That was on the Tuesday, by Friday SWIMBO had picked up another chip and it too cracked and migrated across the screen in quick time.

Autoglass were sympathetic but were also rubbing their hands at the prospect of another sixty quid to replace it again.

What reason did they give?
