intercooler pipe clip finally given up

Featured Replies

hi, peeps.

my bottom intercooler pipe clip has finally given up. thinking about getting a stainless pipe and silicone hose setup, any ideas or best place to get one from.

cheers

You can try two loops around the connectors on the ends of the pipes and then zip tie the couple together with 2 cable ties at 120 degrees to each other to make a temporary fix.

No idea about the stainless pipe though sorry :(

If you are going to buy new pipes then make sure you buy the type that have a lip at the ends, makes it harder for the pipe to slip off.

I've had the same problem with clips pinging off at the EGR delete pipe end. The original rubber hose had gone soft over the years and didn't fit snugly over the EGR delete pipe, I was thinking of renewing all the pipes with silicone and SS rigid corners but is expensive. In the end I settled for an new original hose, trimmed off the end and used a heavy duty pipe clip to secure it.

If you do change the lot then Forge have parts and some others that I've forgotten about. Google intercooler hoses, there are some companies around that supply them.
