fitted forge inlet pipe.....

Featured Replies

what a night mare to fit....needed to cut 2 cm of the pipe that goes on to the turbo as it was to long and then one of the pipes needed blocking off as my car doesnt use that pipe.....and the pipe brackit cant bolt back in place due to the forge pipe being to wide but av checked the pipe and theres no movement and no leaks....so il be going for a drive to see if theres any air leaks or water leaks so fingers crossed it should be fine .......and thanks to the people who helped......thanks

i would say pretty much identical to before, the difference in spool up is so minute!

I still have one tho, just because its blue and shiny lol

Mmm , if you had to do some cutting and blocking , sounds like you had the wrong one

Can you remember what part number you had?

THANKS BUDDY

Glad to see you got there in the end. I knew they were a bit of hard work to fit. As for the right type for the engine, I think I said in my original for sale advert that I brought it off a chap on the forum here, again never fitted so only going on what I understood it to be. Looks like you need to get a bit of degreaser on it now to make it nice and red and pretty looking!

 rub it in

On it's own the TIP doesn't seem to do much, it works nice with the FMIC and stage 2 though.

Nice beefy midrange

Yes the T.I.P is less restrictive than the OEM one , so makes air flow quicker , so will allow better pick up , or throttle response

I have been told by a few that it is good , but not got one on my Fabia 100PD :giggle:

Have fun you all

Sarah

Totally off topic, but....

What's with the sound deadening under the bonnet? I've never seen a vRS with that fitted before.

Is that CAI, one from ebay thats £40/£50?

If so is it any good?
