Hi Guys,

I decided to fit a mesh grill to my 06 plate Ocatvia VRs after seeing a nice X-Type Jaguar at the end of my road.

What I thought would be an easy mod obviously became more complicated when I realised the bonnet release lever pops out between the grill slats!

How do you get around this?

And is there a cheap mesh grill available, or should I just 'make one' myself?

Seen these before with just a hole cut in the mesh for the lever to come through - Not too bad if you are painting it black, but loots terrible in silver!

Look at the Milotec website (milotec dot de) and than go to the grills.

They have a downloadable instruction sheet. Here is a good manual how to alter the lever, without cutting a hole in your mesh (looks terrible).

In short, you will have to cut the long lever that pops up. Than all you have to do is put your hand in the gap underneath the opened bonnet to get to the release lever.
