CD Player Advice

Featured Replies

Hi, This morning the CD player in my Fabia decided it was not going to eject a cd any more. when you hold the button down to eject a disc, it comes up with eject on the screen but nothing happens. you can still play the cd fine which is in the unit but it wont eject it at all. Has anyone else had this, or does anyone know of any way to get the disc out??

thanks,

matt

This happened in SWMBOs Furby. I seem to remember that I used a thin piece of plastic (think that it was a membership card) to slide in through the slot and managed to get under the disc, then pressed eject and it came out.

It was a home made disc and I wonder if the holes are a bit smaller in cheaper cds than in others?

well, i went to try the card in the slot trick, but as it was a fiddly job my patience was running thin, so after one hard smack on the dash next to the radio whilst pressing the eject button, out popped the cd!

mine was doing this last summer - only it would eject about 3mm of CD, enough to touch but not enough to grab.

Took it to the dealer and the whole head unit was replaced under warranty.
