Octavia 1.4 TSI- Poor Starting

After 4 days of starting normally the problem returned this morning. The garage is keeping it overnight and checking the starting in the morning.

Fingers crossed!

My car also went in yesterday, distance from my house to garage 22 miles, computer operator (I don't think there called mechanics any more) got into car three turns of key and it started, "that's not right he said" I'll put it on the diagnostics. Result was the car is apparantly misfiring on cylinders 1 & 2. Bo**ocks I said, the manager intervened and a letter has now gone off to Skoda. Who knows it may work one day.

I picked my car up this afternoon from the dealers, Hayselden Doncaster, and they have told me that there is a VW/Skoda bulletin detailing this problem. They have carried out a reprogram of the ECU.

I will see how it starts from now and let you know.

Thanks for that Kevin, hope it works.

Well it's been 5 days since I had it to the dealers and so far it's started normally. If the problem reoccurs I'll let you know.

Thanks very much for update, my lot have e-mailed Skoda that was 8 days ago, still at least I am armed with a solution now.
