This is annoying, I cant see how to get the extension at the right angle, if I come from underneath it hits the block 'step' below the bolt. From the side at an angle means its at a funny angle too :(

you need to use the smallest flexible joint and as many extension bars as you can fit together. An alternative is to use a really small ratchet with the Allen bit and get your hands right into the small space, as it fits into the bolt it is easier to get it back in as well (which was the way I did it) you do not have to loosen the alternator bracket this way either.
