Rear wiper won't work

Featured Replies

Before tearing out the rear hatch trim and removing the motor, first check the fuse, and if OK, it is likely that the wires have broken as they leave the main car body to enter the hatchback. They run through a short tube of corrugated rubber. Locate the break and resolder with good insulating tape and shrink-wrap to finish. Then repair.replace the corrugated rubber with a generous application of self-amalgamating tape to make it all watertight. Have had a couple go - identical problem.

yeah tis all true, but you wouldn't normally solder looms that are supposed to flex... it is however easy to replace the whole tailgate loom but it is quite tricky getting the plugs through the hole in the body
