Front brake disc size for 1.9tdi 100bhp?

Featured Replies

Looking to replace the front brake discs myself on my

2002 fabia, 1.9Tdi 100bhp (atd engine)

I have been looking at Eurocarparts, and they seem to have all sorts of different sized front discs listed,

what is the correct size for my car please?

256mm I think.

*edit*

Yeah, 256mm (22mm thick as new -19mm is the minimum thickness) according to Haynes.

Got Pagid front discs and pads from Eurocarparts today, for £93 inc vat.

Gonna fit them as soon as it stops raining.

If they are correct fitment (they listed 6 different part numbers for my car) I'll post up their part numbers here for future reference for you guys.

Well fitted the front brakes today, pretty straight forwards, and pleasantly suprised to find out that the discs could be changed without needing to remove other parts (such as the carrier).

Noticed two things,

1) the car doesn't have a pad wear indicator function. Is that correct?

2) the rubber caliper guide bushes are looking pretty sorry for themselves now, (100k/9years old) Has anyone got an idea how much they cost for new ones?? The ones on my Golf R32 were something stupid like £30 per side.

1) correct - none of the Furbys have a wear indicator

2) sorry, can't help you with that one
