Light Assist

Featured Replies

looking at the Octavia brochure, there's a feature/ optional extra called Light Assist, which it says is coming home, leaving home and tunnel light.

Does actually involve extra equipment, or is it just a few tweaks on a tech's laptop and activation of a light sensor somewhere?

On my car it's just turned off or on via the MFD.

strange that they want to charge £50 to add it as an extra for the models which don't come with it as standard

I believe the coming/leaving home lights can be activated via VCDS and will work without the light sensor, the tunnel lights do rely on the light sensor to activate so if you want this function which also includes auto lights/wipers then you would need to specify this option.

for the L&K which have it as standard, there's nothing about also having auto lights.

There's an SE optional extra which is the auto dimming mirror, rain sensor and light assist (£155)

Elegance has the mirror and rain sensor as standard, and it lets you add light assistance for £55

just wondering if it's worth asking for it to be chucked into the mix gratis when negotiating a price if it's only going to take someone less than 2 minutes to sort / add
