Most of the dealers I have approached say the 1.9 is not a good seller-funny they said different when I bought it. Can anyone recommend a dealer that tells the truth and gives you a good deal? Has any tried Drivethedeal or another website dealer?

In the process of ordering through drive the deal. On the phone they seem very pleasant. But I have given them my credit card now so I await the next stage.

The 1.9 will tow up to 1400 KG with no problems, why not get it chipped if you unsure

Also had a very good quote from a Skoda dealer in Goring Worthing - Brighton area - Paul Cox 01903 247000. Who was very prompt at returning e-mails and offered excellent customer service. If I have any problems with DTD I will be straight to him.

You should be able to get a good price for your car selling it privately - there are just no cars available for private sale on autotrader, for example. They all seem to end up at authorized dealers as customers trade up, and thus come with a nice dealer markup.

Price it realistically and it will sell, and you'll get more for it than trading it in
