Vag Com brings up cam shaft sensor fault car has no spark, replaced cam sensor and confirmed there is voltage of 12.4 at the plug feeding the cam shaft sensor on pre ignition/start but car refuses to start and yet still reads faul lies with cam shaft sensor.

Can this sensor be over-rided somehow as this is confusing me. No other faults are stored.

Its a 1.6 8 Valve peterol engine with the engine code: AEH

Is the ignition supplied by double-ended coils driven off the cam position?

Got it sorted it was water getting into the ecu conections corroded cabled had to be re-soldered, just hope it lasts
