service book

Featured Replies

Hi all.......ive mislaid the service book for the skoda superb........i did go to the dealer for another one.......but i was given a duplicate........can one get the original service book again from the skoda head office do you think? As i do miss the info on the service intervals and the specified schedules on the car servicing that came with the original hand book when supplied by the dealer when we bought the car new. Any help would be appreciated cheers

so what's in a 'duplicate' - just pages for the garage to enter their stamp?

basically yes........unlike in the original document where it pointed out information on certain models with fixed servicing and variable service......this booklet just says duplicate inside.......and points out in the beginning that the information entered may not be representive of the actual service history......which is one of the reasons why i had the car serviced elsewhere rather than the dealer.

After all i dont fancy paying 75 quid an hr for someting that can be done for 30 quid an hr, and probably get a better service in the process. Also the original service book had the car details sticker put in there...the same as the one inside the boot near the spare wheel...i dont know why i'm being petty over the book...the car wont be worth much in resale or part exchange ...just me being a bit paranoid and a perfectionist
