I'm new here so this might not be the proper place to open this thread, if that is true, I apologize.

I've have a strange issue, for some reason, when the intake temp is low, the ECU starts adding 15-25% fuel to the mixture, in 5000+ RPM as a result the ECU starts lowering the boost and I feel the car slowing down.

I run a custom tune with W/M injection, free flow Exhaust and Neuspeed P-Flow Induction Kit.

My tuner and I were very confused as to why this happens as there is no apparent reason to why this would happen as the Fuel and boost maps where configured perfectly.

Yesterday we decided to remove the Induction kit as we were suspecting that the MAF sensor was getting incorrect readings and that it may have caused the issue.

We reinstalled the stock induction and Walla! the issue disappeared, we ran several log to verify this and it seems that the induction kit is defiantly the issue, something with the MAF readings in this kit is way off.

Now to my questions

1. Is anyone using a P-Flow induction kit and if so, have you experienced any issues with this kit?

2. Can someone recommend an induction kit that they have tested and are happy with?

you might be running to rich a mixture of w/m. try using less methanol. do you have the uprated HPFP although fuel cut occurs lower down the rev range

No guys in here have W/M, only stage 2+ k03 and ko4 converted vRS.

Still useing Stock HPFP and use the W/M injection to provide the extra fueling.

This stage is just the initial tune, an S3 conversion with better HPFP and stage 2 W/M will happen soon however I need to get the induction sorted out before I can continue to a larger turbo as that would cause even more air to go in and drive the MAF crazy.

Your right about the mixture, I am running a rich mixture as I'd rather be rich then poor ;) I do that to avoid high EGT + The car is still being tuned so I keep it a little richer just in case something goes wrong.

However the mixture is never too rich to cause a boost drop and the issue is that when using the induction kit, something does go wrong and the ECU starts adding fuel at around 5000+ RPM, when the correction is higher than 25% it will drop boost as safe mode, the ME9 is one "Smart" ECU...

the first set of logs with the induction kit has quite a bit timng pull on cylinder four.

Can you log from 1500-2k to the redline in 3rd or 4th and look at block 230 for the fuel rail. :)

They are still within acceptable values. Anything up to about -5 degrees is fine.

At OP as Hedge has said you need to log in a certain way.

Use Measuring Blocks 115, 230 and 020 (Boost, Fuel, Timing)

Drive in 3rd or 4th gear and start from 1500-2000rpm. Floor the car and keep it there till about 6000rpm

This will then give you a better idea of what the car is doing under load as you can see what is happening across a wide band of revs whilst the car is at full load.

could it be something as simple as a badly designed maf section and your getting excessive turbulance round the maf? have you got a log of what the maf was doing?

good point dan. the easiest way to see if that is true is to look at the long term fuel trims. the closer to 0% they are the beter. under 10% is deemed as acceptable
