New Octavia 1.9 TDI Elegence Owner

Featured Replies

Took delivery of my 1.9 TDI Elegance in Island Green on 1st. Sept.

It is a successor to my 1.9 TDI SLX that was 4 and a half years and just under 80,000 miles old.

It is a joy to drive. It has one major problem, the Climatronic system.

I have noted that agent006 has a problem with cold air in his face. Mine insists on blowing cold air at my feet.

When first delivered it balsted hot air to the screen and cold air to the footwell. The blast of hot to the screen has been fixed but the cold air to the feet is still not resolved.

Am waiting for a meeting with the Skoda specialist to try to move this forward.

Welcome to Briskoda. :) Does that problem occur in Auto and in Manual modes? And surely a full diagnostic check of the Climatronic - as I had on mine early on when I didn't think it was working properly - will reveal which sensor, valve or motor is at fault?

(Just realised it's a new shape Octavia so maybe the system is significantly different to the one in mine).

Welcome to Briskoda.

It is the new model. A computer diagnosis shows nothing wrong.

My feet and head definitely say that there is.

Had no problems at all with my previous Octavia Climatronic.
