VAG - COM User in Cardiff?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have recently bought a VW Polo but needed to buy a new fob for it (other had burnt out) on Ebay. Unfortunetly I have only 1 key so cannot use another to programme as seen in other forums.

I can start the car (so the chip inside the key is ok), so I only need to programme the Fob to open and close the doors remotely.

If anyone can help please let me know. Not too sure if a VAG COM programme can fix this, but if there are users in cardiff or surrounding areas, I would be grateful if you could help.

Thanks

Gaz

Do you have the SKC number as I think you may need it, not 100% on this mind you.

I have vag com and may be able too help let me have a little look at you need too do first though :D

I'll move this too the VCDS area of the site.

I think I found what you need, I don't think you need the SKC.

Send me a pm if you like :D

Hi Gaz

You say you have only one key, I think you will need to get another key (cut to your car) and then read the link :

http://www.octavia-vrs.com/technical/key_&_immo_coding.htm

I know it is a Octavia, but I guess its the same procedure.

My problem is that I have only one key, so cannot programme with the spare.

Is there a way of programming it with one key or do I need to get another? The problem with this is how do I get either to programme to start off with? As neither will be coded to my car.

The only thing coded to my car at the moment is the actual key blade, which starts the car.

Thanks
