hey ppl, i have couple of problems with my fabia first of all the fuel gauge isn't working at all, the (no fuel) light is always on and the second thing is the cars heater isnt heating at all, i would like to know if anyone know about this thanks in advance

I am no expert and am sure I will be shot down in flames with this but the fuel guage fault could be the sender unit. As the only experience I have had with the same problem occured on my Saab 900 and I am sure technology has moved on, the sender was basically a tube with a float in it and my float, didn't! It sat at the bottom and gave me the fuel light. As for the heater, again, my Saab 900 is the only car I've had with the same fault, it turned out to be an air lock caused when I changed the matrix. Don't get me wrong about Saabs though. Was an excellent car and the one I owned is still running around today and when I sold it 12 years ago, it had 180,000 miles on the clock.

thanks andy, i sorted out all the problems, the buoy thingy that floats in the fuel tank to measure fuel level which is connected to the fuel pump was not working at all so i replaced that and about the heating system it was just some blocked pipes got cleaned and everything is okay now
