I read a review that said the early MkII Octy L&K's were just 'specced up' Elegance's with leather and seats.

I've seen a 55 Octy, and it has none of the piano black trim e.t.c. that I thought came with L&K.

What were the model changes over the years, and is there a particular year that represents good value for money & features.

I've got a 54 Ambiente, and I have seen two L&K's - one an 07 with higher miles and one a 55 with lower miles, and I'm struggling to decide which to go for.

Any thoughts welcome.

Nice picture.... actually, upon seeing the grey/silver etched trim, I think it looks quite nice.. I thought it might just be the sprayed silver on my Ambiente and fancied a change. When you say leather underneath, do you mean real leather on the door cards? Is that a hint of stitching I can see near the handle of the door?

Couple of questions... do you know if you get ESP / ASP

Also.. do the mirrors have white puddle lights in them? Is this something that can just be turned on with VAG Com, or is there a special part?

Loved my Ambiente until some little scrote nicked the CD changer.... but I've fancied an L&K for a bit... just trying to work out what year to go for and where to draw the line between age / mileage.

Quick question...

Do your mirrors electrically retract?

Electrically folding mirrors are still included AFAIK (they are package with electric memory seats). Additionally compared to Elegance the L&K gets Xenons with AFS as standard, all the three letters abbreviations ( ESP, ABS, EBV, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA and DSR), has extra interior lights, hill hold control and curtain airbags.

Electrically adjustable drivers memory seat + mirrors

Multi function steering wheel

Audience 6CD head unit + diversity antenna (now replaced with a Columbus unit)

Jumbo box/dual zone/MP3 socket

Rear Parking sensors

Illuminated interior door handles

Piano black door/dash inserts

17" 'Sputnik' alloys (now changed for 18"RS6 styleee wheels)

Light leather interior

ESP

Curtain airbags

Active head restraints

Hill Hold Control

Auto headlights/wipers and interior mirror (NOT door mirrors)

I also retrofitted the W8 interior cat-vision type light.

Do you get all of the TLA's with a 55 L&K or is it just ASP? - I notice yours was an 07 L&K so wondered if the spec changed?

Position 2 = For a more laid back Sporty drive, gangsta-lean pimp-cruisin round da hood, na wot i mean, innit man.

Quick question - looking at an 06 L&K Octy...

Just trying to work out what bits I will need to order to fit the RNS-510; would rather find out before ripping the old stuff out.

Does the 06 L&K come with a diversity antenna?

Also, does the "sound system" option come automatically with an L&K? What will the speakers be like fitted as standard; are there any toys?
