Old Friend

Featured Replies

Wow!!! I've just been reunited with an old friend, my old Skoda Felicia 1.3!

I had it about a year ago for £70 as a field car and loved it, as it was so reliable etc, but then i donated it to my big sister and her boyfriend as they were in need of a car quick.

Now they have no need for it and my big brother is ready to do his driving lessons so will need a car soon, so is getting the Skoda. There was a bit of work needing done, so i had it in the shed, and then i took it out and fell back in love!

I have a 1.4 Corsa B and a BMW 525i E34 (both of which aren't very reliable) but to be honest, the Skoda felt so much more responsive, better handling, brakes, steering, the lot! It brought back so many memories! I really hope i get it back in the end though.

I never realised how great that little car was!

We bought one of those new about 11 years ago, I was on a privates wage and we had a new baby. We were able to get a new Felicia 1.3 for around £7000 if my memory serves me right. It really was a fantastic car that managed to fit all the baby stuff in (including the enormous pram) Skoda really did give us the opportunity to have a new car for a very reasonable price. It really does have a special place in my heart.
