why doesnt my gauge stay on 0-bar ? this what it reads . any idea why ?car runs fine , could the gauge be faulty ?

All in the timing mate

Your car should be running a vacuum on idle (exactly like it is in the pic).

Your boost/vac gauge is better than just a boost gauge as you can see exactly what your turbo is doing. i.e. when it is spooling up rather than just when it comes on boost.
