I need a definitive answer on the Braked Towing Limit for the FL CR VRS Estate - seen it quoted as both 1400 kgs and 1600 kgs

The Pre FL PD VRS was definately 1400 kgs. It's quoted in the vehicle details part of the V5, so if you have the above could you check your V5 and let me know...?

The Skoda brochure says 1600kg

My V5 says 1400kg

The handbook (Pg 293) says 1600kg for inclines upto 12%

and 1400kg for 8% inclines

I'm surprised Skoda have not been prosecuted by the Office of Fair Trading for all the inaccuracies in brochures and website

Its all very concerning....... what with the possibility that an insurance company might refuse a payout in the event of an accident if the trailer/caravan was over 1400 kgs. Think i will need to get something in writing from SUK......would be interested to know what it says on the V5 for a Scout ??
