Fiscon bluetooth without MFSW?

Featured Replies

I'm need to get a bluetooth handsfree thing fitted to the car. Previously had a Parrot CK3200 in my Gti which was ok, but i'd prefer something that integrates a little better with the vehicle.

I've see the "fiscon" system mentioned on here a few times. Checked out their web site and it makes reference to operation via the multifunction steering wheel, which I don't have.

Is the MFSW a pre-requisite for the Fiscon unit? Will it work without? If so, how do you control it?

Help please?!

Not required if you have a Bolero. You just use the touch screen on the Bolero.

Rob_e,

You can use it with either a Bolero or Columbus headunit I.e. one with touch screen control; without a multifunction steering wheel.

Sometimes appears to be the answer to this. Mine needed coding (I didn't fit it myself, and before anyone criticises, I know I'm lazy and wasted money because it's an easy job... but I'd have had to find someone to do the coding afterwards anyway...) but some people have reported just plugging it in and away they go...

Checked out the fiscon-website and they say that pre 2010-models don't need coding....?

my problem is that I have to go to the dealer to get it done........

I believe coding depends on the version of the convenience module.

And you don't have to goto your dealer for coding, a competent VCDS operator locally could do that for you...

Booked for installation next week at Richer Sport in MK - woohoo! Can't wait.

.. and yes, I know its probably easy to install, but company is paying so no need for me to get skinned knuckles!
