I got my MFD3

Featured Replies

I went to multims (ebay seller) in Manchester Hazel bottom road on Tuesday morning, rang the bell he opened the door handed me my MFD3 and I had it fitted and working in less than 3 mins, gave him my fully working MFD2 and £300 and off I went :thumbup::thumbup:

Just need to work out some of the things on it like how to scan the radio and get RDS working, as radio 2 had to be tuned in manually as I drove back to Scotland today

everything works SD cards and DVD and CDs

Wey hey - 3rd time lucky then

It's the unit you should have bought all along :D

Glad you're sorted.

I now have the full instructions

Just to say - I bought an MFD3 from multims...

Was visiting Manchester, and so he delivered it to my hotel, saving postage and 10% on eBay.

Seemed pleasant to deal with, nothing made me think that there was anything amiss, as seemed very transparent. I know there is a lot of negativity surrounding eBay sat-navs, and I was a bit skeptical and cautious - but all of the seals on the unit are fine, and there are no signs that it has been foribly removed, or anything that would make me wonder as to its origins.

I wonder if there is any connection between multims and the guy in Lithuania selling sat navs, as multims is Lithuanian! I speak a bit of Lithuanian and have a few Lithuanian friends so he humoured me when I spoke a bit on the phone.

Any chance of a picture ? It's difficult to visualise what you mean from that description

A Bolero doesnt have navigation for starters. Its got less buttons on the front as well.

I guess you mean your unit doesnt have "Columbus" written above the DVD drive? Thats how they are on 1Z0 Octy units, the 3T0 units from the Superb and FL Octy do have it written above the DVD slot. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks Keith - I'm with it now

Mine doesn't have Columbus on it either - not a problem

Thanks for that I was beginning to panic there

Could someone explain why when you are watching a DVD and you touch the screen and press menu twice a small box with arrows appears for a brief moment then disappears then the DVD goes back to the start is that for something else

My 1Z0 unit has Columbus written across the front.

It was just later units which came with HW04 (iirc) and above had Columbus written on them
