Featured Replies

will these fit nicely onto the fabia vrs?

7.5x17" Et41

there 5x120 fitment so will need adapters. im guessing 15mm will do?

will this bring me tidily inline with my arch?

helpppppppp

Hmm, BMW wheels eh? :)

They *should* be OK, but with this sort of setup it's the quality of the adaptors that is important too. Ideally you want hubcentric spacers as these are generally safer and also help to reduce vibration. Generally these aren't available with less than 20mm because of the manufacturing involved. So in this case you'd end up running a 21 offset. Which is a little low IMO, and with the width of the wheel you *may* get rubbing.

Overall I'd say the original offset needs to be a bit higher, before you can consider this sort of setup, on an everyday basis. But have a look at adaptor options and something might be possible if you really like the wheel, or they're a rare set. What are you thinking of fitting anyway?

there BBS RC041, simalar to the RS/RM's but without the price tag. google them :]

im really unsure with the ofsets a fabia can handle. i ran 8's all round on a 6n polo with no problems, and people run up2 9inch's with little problems, surely a fabia, can handle a simular spec :S

cheers for replying dude. seems alittle slower on here to my last forum

Based on your stock wheel setup, your new wheel will have:

4mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 30mm

Thats with 20mm adaptors compared to your standard vrs alloys. which means you should get them as they will sit perfect.. 205.40.17's and your on a winner B)

Oh yeah, tis OK - I know what a BBS RC looks like :)

Good luck getting them sorted - all depends what look you're going for too. Also, what suspension setup you have.

Also, what suspension setup you have.

Good point.. I'm just presuming your lowerede 70mm B);)

Yup, gonna look a bit daft at std height! :giggle:

haha, cheers guys. some decent quality advice there :]

currently I'm on a 20mm drop. however i was pricing up air ride. but i think I'm just going to go with coilovers. and probably some cheap ones for now. There's a guy called PhilJ which sells them over on club polo. 275£ delivered :]

I'd save a bit and get some better ones.. have a search. I have Weitec Hicon GT's and there 1000000000000x better than the cheap ebay/philj ones. especially for deisel where the engine is heavy so tends to bounce about more on these naff spring/damper coilovers. :)

I agree in spending a little more on coilovers, however, plenty run AP`s and various other budget ones on here with no issues so you dont need to go made either.

Ok. so i went to look at some of these today, the refurb on them was crap, they hadnt split them down or anything, just painted over all the bolts and everything :/ however, the guy let me offer one upto my car, appart from the silly tyres he'd got on there, they seem to look that they will fit with the 20mm spacer, maybe even a 30 out back. however ive gone off this idea now.

whats the chances of getting a 9inch rim at et30 fitting nicely?

How much was they? Pm me details :-p

he wanted 400£ for the bbs's, hes actually a mate, i can PM you his mobile number if you like. but theres a pair on wheel whores, which have just had a refurb and look really nice. somethingwheelsdevon is the seller... he wants 425 but they dont have bolts, which are another 120£ from justmats.

now answer my question :]
