not in that car anyway lol. They are just better than the oe ones skoda sell and protect my car paintwork more.

Not a fan if I'm honest...they probably cost you 3-4 mpg

I had them on my Fabia VRS for many miles and they kept my car from getting dirty up the doors and the the rear bumper. Its a marmite thing. You either love it or you hate it. But I do a lot of country road driving where there is lots of mud and stones on the road, Hence why I bought them to protect my car. The doors dont get any muck from the wheels at all now and the underside of the rear bumper stays clean. Plus in the summer I wont get the side of my car covered in that 'tar' that is nightmare to clean off. The skoda ones I found to be a token gesture, as they dont cover the whole tyre width. Plus it means I have to wash it less and it keeps cleaner longer. :giggle:

Can't say I was a fan either - not of the blue ones anyway, but those black ones look ok. I too have a Race Blue Vrs Hatch - and have a few questions

-where did you buy them from,

-what did they cost,

-can I get 2 or 4 (or is it just a set of 4? - I have Skoda fronts fitted that are next to useless!) &

-how easy were they to fit

that last bit is important, as I've spent too many long periods lying on the drive fitting mudflaps to cars over the years!

Surely they wouldn't much that much odds to the mpg, it's nae great anyway ! & maybe it's worth it for the extra protection they give.

I purchased them from www.performancecreations.co.uk. They also have an Ebay shop. They cost me £49 for the four, but Im sure they could sell them just for the rear if you asked them. They were dead easy to fit. You have to do a bit of bracket bending, which they supply to fix the rear flaps too. It took me just under an hour to fit the font and rear flaps with and no wheel removal! Though it was fiddly and would have been easier to take the wheels off, as they state in the instructions.

I have had no drop in mpg, other than my new remap when I put my foot down lol. But they really do work and protect my cars paintwork. Plus they look subtle when you see them on the car in the flesh. Even my mother likes them and she hates cars! lol

Thanks for that info - I'll check them out (think it's the same site I looked at before, but was put off by the blue ones !)

I even wonder if I could get a set to fit my wifes BLACK ! Mazda 5.

Sorry. Not my 'tasse de the'

Whats wrong with Skoda mudflaps that actually fit the car?

I too have the black rallyflapz fitted. Especially on the rear bumper if definately cuts down on the ammount of mud that gets stuck to it. Therefore fitted for function rather than style. Went for black as they are far more subtle.

@ harveys I did a fitting guide when I put mine on that I could easily send to you via e mail if you'd like.

The Genuine Skoda rear ones are about as much use as a chocolate teapot IMO. I have had them on my car for over a year and as they are so short they don't actually do anything.

Agree with others, those available from Skoda are next to useless. Anyway there is also conflicting info as to whether the rears are available to fit the VRS or not - my local dealer are adamant they are not, even when I went in armed with a part number that someone on here suggested was a new part that would fit the VRS.

Have replied to your PM Capain Scarlet.

I like them, having had similar sets on both of my Imprezas.
