Front brake Pad & disc change

Featured Replies

I am going to change the front pads & discs on my Roomster, i'm told that they are the same setup as the Fabia vrs. Just asking if anyone has done this, and if so, is it as straight forward as it looks or is there anything i should lookout for. Just looking for prior warning of anything as i read something on this site about when someone was changing the rear brake pads and how you have to turn the pistons in with a special tool. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The front calipers dont need to be turned when they are retracted, I used a G clamp and is fairly straight forward

Hi there,i have now fitted pads & discs, as you said straight forward. When you fitted your pads ,did they have the wear sensor on them? The ones i've fitted dont have it, so now the brake warning light is on, on the dash. Can i just connect the wires together? Thanks.
