I thought I'd start a new thread & post my rolling road results (Surrey Rolling Road),might be handy for anyone searching either "remap" or "R-Tech"

The car is an Octy 1.8t Elegance,'52 reg AUM engine,on 40k & in good order/well maintained,& with the remap having been done at 31,663,last May.

It's a Spec1 remap,it cost £200,I believe they now cost £250.Only other mod is a Pipercross panel filter in the oem airbox.

Stock quoted figures for this model are 150bhp & 155lb/ft torque.

My results today were ..............................205.1bhp & 235lb/ft

So I'm happy.The car is nice to drive,a vast improvement over standard,nothing has gone wrong since the remap,no coil pack or MAF failure so far,so for anyone thinking of a remap,or R-Tech in particular, I would recommend without hesitation.

MPG seems no different to prior to the remap.31 mixed,up to 38 on a steady Motorway run at about 80mph,all according to the in car computer

One point of note...the tester only did one run,apparently these 1.8t's always give lower figures on subsequent runs as the standard intercooler is not too good,so with the increase in heat,the figures drop.A front mount is a solution if you have cash to splash.

I used to work at the Safeway (now Morrisons) there!

SRR is fine,it's the only RR I've been to,so can't say how it compares.

The bloke who runs it,Charlie, is a friendly & informative guy.As the 1.8t only gets one run,it was £40 instead of the usual £50.

The place is easy enough to find.Car before mine was a Golf MK1 with a tuned 1.8t & 4wd....it had just run over 500bhp.The car due up next was a 1990 MR2 turbo,last time he made 440bhp,he was expecting over 500 this time too

it was lime green :S

He only does one cos as the temps rise,the bhp drops.He did take the revs back up after the 205bhp,the screen showed 195
