Mobile fitter came to the Mother-in-laws and fitted the Witter detachable with Witter dedicated wiring.

Left almost immediately for Chester (I'm currently on a train to Manchester) and noticed that the door open warning was on, electric window and mirror controls not functioning and neither drivers side doors will lock (off fob or key).

Wife has just been in the phone to say that the fitter came back, pulled out and reinserted some fuses and has said it needs coded!

Hopefully the good lady can get it to a dealer tomorrow.

I thought coding just sorted the sensors?

Is he talking some truth, or has he FUBAR'd my pride and joy?

Fixed it!

Got back from Manchester to find the towing man had been back and despite disconnecting, double checking and then reconnecting everything, couldn't sort it. Didn't fancy the journey north unable to lock half the car and remembered something I read on here so gave it a shot.

In the absence of a reader to clear faults, disconnect battery for 2hrs.

Just reconnected and all is working again! Phew!!

Can just get it coded now at leisure.
